San Diego Art Institute: A Moveable Feast.
Curated by the San Diego Mesa College Museum Studies Program for ART San Diego 2015 Contemporary Art Fair
The San Diego Mesa College Museum Studies program and the San Diego Art Institute have teamed up to showcase the work of emerging and established artists.
A feast of visual works by artist members of SDAI and San Diego Mesa College students and faculty will be featured at this premiere contemporary arts venue. The booth will establish a connection with SDAI’s space in Balboa Park, highlighting works by its affiliates.
The collaboration between these two organizations is rooted in our mutual interests to promote artists, exhibit their works, and network with the San Diego community.
Museum Studies students will be curating the exhibit, managing the booth and focusing on outreach during the art fair.

Selected artists notified: Monday, October 5
Delivery of artwork: Wednesday, October 28, 9am-5pm
Pick up of artwork: Tuesday, November 10, 9am-5pm

ELIGIBILITY: This exhibition is open artist members of the San Diego Art Institute and San Diego Mesa College art students and faculty. All applicants are encouraged to become members of SDAI. 2D pieces of work up to 24” x 36” and 3D pieces up to 15” x 15” x 15”. Small and medium works preferred. All 2D artwork must be framed and ready to be hung by a wire mounting. All artwork must be available for sale, preferably $350 or less. We will be adding a 30% commission fee to your price. Original artwork only, please.
FEES: There are no fees for submitting your work for consideration. There will be a 30% commission fee added to your price.
SUBMISSIONS: Submit 5 low resolution jpeg images of individual works available and a link to your website or online portfolio. Include a brief bio and/or artist statement in the body of the email. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT OR SUBMIT images to the San Diego Art Institute, as they are not responsible for choosing artists or curating the exhibit.
