Childhood and rebuilt stools burnt and piled atop one another. Each smaller stool can fit inside the next biggest size stool.
Diewerke Huis & Ameridutch
Diewerke Huis (2016) is my childhood dresser repainted, with installtations inside each drawer. Each unique installation is made from collected letters, pictures, fabrics, and objects, detailing both the Dutch and American sides of me and my family.
Ameridutch (2010) is a collection of hats from doll-size to oversize, in the silhouette of what is typically thought of as a Dutch hat. The fabrics and colors blend American traditions and styles into these Dutch hats.
